PHUKET SIKH GURDWARA
The word ‘Sikh’ means learner ਸਿਖੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ God is the Creator of all, He is All Wisdom, as well as the Primal Teacher. He is present in us all and we are to submit to Him in complete love and devotion, live with Him, listen to His Commands and obey them.
Righteous conduct, dharma, discipline, meditative awareness, happiness, contentment, moral integrity, truthfulness, universality, spirituality, religiosity and liberation are the spontaneous incidental results of this True Love of God attained by His Grace.
The moral salvation of man lies in his having objectives beyond himself in pursuit of which he can forget himself, objectives which will keep the inner structure of the self wholesome, without making inner wholesomeness itself the goal. This, in brief, is Sikhism. There is nothing sectarian in the Sikh Teachings. Sikhism takes God Himself as the Truest Teacher, the Sat Guru. Universal human problems have been taken up and the solutions thereto have been given in the Sikh scripture, Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The scripture do not contain biographical sketch of any Guru, Avatar or Prophet.
